Rita Langdale is the founder of Hope Restored Counseling of Florida, LLC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Registered Dietitian (RD). As a therapist, she specializes in the treatment of individuals with disordered eating (emotional eating, stress eating, binge eating, etc.), anxiety, and depression. As a Registered Dietitian, she provides individual nutrition counseling on healthy eating, managing pre-diabetes, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, among other disease states.
She received a Master’s (MS) in Nutrition from Texas Women’s University and a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Florida State University. While working as a Registered Dietitian (RD), Rita came to realize that healthy lifestyle changes were often hampered because of life stressors and/or untreated mental health challenges, such as anxiety and depression. This is what lead her into private practice where she can assist individuals in addressing the underlying issues that are keeping them from living the best life they can.
Rita’s therapeutic approach is one of meeting an individual where they are in their current life challenges. She is dedicated to providing unconditional acceptance, motivation, and encouragement as individuals develop lasting life skills that will move them toward a healthier lifestyle and toward the life they have always wanted. Along with traditional therapy methods, she also integrates both mindfulness practices and self-compassionate training into her work with individuals.
