Can I use my insurance?
Many individuals may hesitate to seek therapy because it means dealing with insurance companies, however, most individuals have been able to navigate the process without issues.
Although we are not on any insurance panels, you may be able to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider if you have out-of-network benefits within your coverage. Upon request, we can provide you with the necessary receipt and form that most insurance companies will need to process your claim.
We suggest that you contact your insurance to ask:
- What their rate of reimbursement for mental health would be for an out-of-network provider?
- How many sessions do they cover per year?
- What is their process for seeking reimbursement?
Reimbursement codes are 90834 for Behavioral Health Counseling and 97802 and 97803 for Medical Nutrition Therapy (Nutrition Counseling).
Do you have evening and weekend appointments?
We will make every attempt to accommodate our client’s scheduling needs and may be able to offer some evening and limited weekend appointments!.
What is the length and frequency of sessions?
Behavior health counseling sessions are up to 50 minutes. Weekly sessions are typically recommended initially, however, this can be discussed with your therapist.
The initial Nutrition Counseling session will be up to 60 minutes. Follow up sessions are typically 30 minutes; however, longer sessions are available. The frequency of nutrition counseling sessions will depend on your specific needs..
How long can I expect to be in therapy?
Everyone’s needs are different; therefore, the duration will depend on your specific needs..
How are sessions paid for?
We use a HIPPA compliant fee collection service called IvyPay©. You will be required to enter a credit or debt card and sessions fees are automatically deducted after the session. You can also cover sessions with cash if you prefer. However, you will still be required to have a credit or debit card on file.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
We may be able to offer limited sliding scales based on need. Please inquire at the time you book your initial session. If your financial situation changes at any time and you find you need a sliding scale, please do not hesitate to discuss your need prior to your session..
